WHAT IS AWANA?

A Biblically-based program for children and youth, from age 2 to grade 6, that combines fun and excitement, while teaching the gospel of Jesus Christ and how to serve Him. Awana is rooted in the idea that children can have fun while learning God’s Word.
Each club meeting consists of three parts:- Council Time- large-group worship & featured speaker
- Handbook Time- Bible verse memorization and understanding in a small group setting
- Game Time- emphasizes fun, team building and sportsmanship
The acronym AWANA comes from the first letters of Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed, as taken from 2 Timothy 2:15: "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." Our goal is reach children, and their families, with the gospel of Christ and train them to serve Him.
WHEN DOES AWANA MEET?
Our clubs meet on Wednesday evenings during the school year from 6:30pm to 8:15pm. Our 2011-2012 club year kicks off on September 7th.
WHAT IS THE COST?
We ask parents to help defray the cost of running our club by paying a $35 registration fee ($100 max per family). This can be paid up front (preferred method) or in payments that are convenient for you. What does it cover? The registration fee pays for the clubbers uniform, handbook, awards, awana store items & special event registration fee's. Do not let the registration fee be a deterrent as we will never turn away kids for this reason.
